Shunting services for RUs in freight transport

Shunting services for rail companies in freight transport

We offer other rail companies throughout Switzerland non-discriminatory access to our local delivery service. This includes the delivery of trains, wagons or wagon groups between the rail infrastructure (receiving station) and the sidings or CT transshipment facilities.

    Scope of the service

The service includes the operation of defined sidings and/or loading/unloading points (delivery or collection of trains, single freight cars or wagon groups ready for collection from the defined operating point to the loading point at the siding).

    Prices

The price includes the one-off delivery or collection and is based on the 'first come, first serve' principle. Preferential treatment of individual market participants by reserving capacity is therefore excluded.

    Time rate / hour

    • Freight car inspector: CHF 122.00 per hour of service
    • Shunter: CHF 122.00 per hour of service
    • Plus basic traffic CHF 100.00 per assignment

The time rate is charged in 15-minute increments, the minimum time required is 1 hour.

    Ordering conditions

The order must be sent to the following e-mail address: rangierleistungen.ch@deutschebahn.com. The rail company requesting the service shall ensure that the DBCCH employees to be deployed have a certificate for its rail company. Any certification and training costs shall be borne by the ordering rail company.

Orders/enquiries must be made as early as possible. By placing an order, the rail company confirms the "Terms and Conditions of DBCCH Shunting Services for Rail Companies in Freight Traffic".

    Surcharges

    • A lump sum of CHF 100.00 is charged for changes to an order.
    • A lump sum of CHF 150 will be charged for arrival delays of more than 45 minutes. Additional operating costs due to the delay may be charged separately.

    Cancellations

Services already ordered and cancelled by the RU will be invoiced as follows:

    • Cancellation > 2 weeks prior to execution = 0 % of the quoted and ordered service
    • Cancellation > 24 hours to 2 weeks before the service is due to take place = 50 % of the service offered and ordered
    • Cancellation < 24 hours before implementation or non-cancellation = 100% of the service offered and ordered
